I’M NOT A BARISTA, a not-for-profit organization committed to supporting baristas globally, has recently utilized the profits generated from the coffee wristbands to aid a Chinese barista Xiaoya Su who was suffering from leukemia. Our charity partners in China collaborated with us. As a result, we were able to donate the sum of $1490 USD to help the poor barista obtain the necessary assistance needed for her condition.

The coffee community in China showed incredible support for our cause, resulting in the sale of 800 wristbands within just two months. The success of the initiative enabled us to take a meaningful step towards impacting the life of the young Chinese barista, who was battling a severe health condition.
While it is true that the amount we donated might not cater to the immense expenses associated with treating cancer, which can be extremely high, we firmly believe that any small contribution can make a large difference when we come together as a community. The power of collective giving has instilled hope in us, and we are determined to make a positive impact on the lives of people who need our assistance. Every little bit counts, and we remain committed to doing our part to ensure that baristas worldwide get the adequate support they require.
Being a barista is a challenging job everywhere, with most countries not paying baristas enough to cover their basic living expenses. In many cases, they do not receive health insurance, making them vulnerable to medical conditions.
