We’re Heading to Bangkok With a Purpose

By May 4, 2026No Comments3 min read

We’re heading to World of Coffee Bangkok, and this time, we’re coming with a purpose.

We’ll be bringing our charity wristbands, the first L1GHT sensory cup samples, and the latest MOMENTEM grinder with us—not just to show what we’ve been working on, but to help support something bigger.

This year, our focus is GCAG Indonesia 2026.

GCAG is our community-based coffee education project, and this next chapter will take us to East Java, where we hope to host a 3-day coffee education program for at least 20 young farmers. The goal is simple: not only to share coffee knowledge, but also to bring tools, perspective, and hope to the people at origin.

If you’ll be in Bangkok, we’d love to see you. You can find us at Squeaky Coffee (D401), Brave Roasters, and TIMEMORE. Come say hi, grab a wristband, and take a look at the new L1GHT cup samples and MOMENTEM grinder in person.

And as always, beyond products and projects, we’re there for people. If you have a coffee story you’d love to share with the world, we’d be happy to meet you. If you’d like to be featured at I’M NOT A BARISTA, just reply to this email or send us a message.

This year’s GCAG is only possible because of the people and partners who believe in what we do. A very special thanks goes to TIMEMORE, now supporting GCAG for the second year, and donating 20 sets / 100 units of brewing tools for this year’s project.

We’re also deeply grateful to our green coffee partners, including Grand Cru Specialty Coffee, Finca El Porvenir, X Stones, and Outman Roastery, as well as our local Indonesia partners Tanty and Nir Coffee, our volunteers Owen and Marta, and financial support from friends like Laybird, who contributed $800 USD.

And this year, we’re also starting something new:
The Global Charity Cupping.

The idea is simple, but we think it’s powerful:

From origin to cup. From cup back to origin.

We want cupping to be more than just a good experience. We want it to be meaningful. So we’re inviting coffee shops and roasters around the world to host charity cupping events and help raise funds for GCAG Indonesia 2026.

With unique coffees shared by our green coffee partners, communities in different cities can cup together for the same purpose: to support farmers at origin.

From Tibet to São Paulo, from Athens to Guiyang, from Baku to Malang, cities are already beginning to connect through one shared effort. This is the kind of coffee community we believe in.

Thanks for being part of this journey with us.

Humanity runs on coffee.
