For EU backers
We are super enthusiastic about what’s to come, and we can’t wait for you to share your brewing experiments with us. However, there are some important considerations we must keep in mind. The recent changes set to occur in Import One-Stop Shop or IOSS laws have made for changes in VAT payments. Because of this, some of the European backers may need to pay a small fee to receive the parcel upon its arrival to the European continent.
When are these important changes coming into place?
From July 1st onwards, commercial goods imported into the European Union from a third country will be subject to VAT irrespective of their value. This new law has been put into place to facilitate the declaration and payment of VAT for goods sold from a distance by sellers. We are so sorry for this inconvenience and encourage you to further look into these changes if interested at: https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/business/vat/ioss_en.
(So far, we still don’t know how this will affect our shipping since the Kickstarter project finished a while ago.)
