Millions of people drink coffee every day, but how many of us really know about coffee? Uncle Sam loves coffee with cream and sugar, and he never read Barista Magazine, but he definitely likes to read your story and share it with pride. You don’t have to be a champion to make an impact, be you, share your story, and let it spread with love within your network.

How do we write your stories?
Once you have sent in all the information and answered all the questions we will send all the information to our talented team of writers, we have both volunteers and interns writing and working hard to make your story special and stand out!
We will then pick out the main themes throughout your virtual interview and pick the main angle. Things such as challenges, revelations or journeys towards coffee work well as they allow us to write a more interesting piece.
Information about yourself will help us to set the background and set the story. It will also allow readers a deeper insight into your coffee journey. Don’t be afraid to share funny stories, challenges you’ve overcome and some of your greatest successes. These are all part of your coffee journey and what makes it so amazing!

To ensure we write a story that reflects you, we ask that you please provide as much information as possible. If there is anything you would like to focus on, let us know. Our goal is to give you a platform and share your story with the world. Let us help you!
When responding to the questions below, we kindly ask that you aim to provide a minimum of 200 words per answer. This ensures that your response is informative, detailed, and helpful in providing a thorough understanding of the topic at hand.
We have some writing tips for you
Inform
Remember the readers don’t know you. Let them get to know you by telling them as much as you can. Set a background and a narrative for your story. What do you want people to come away with?
Amplify
We know, this is your story, but why not take this opportunity to amplify and celebrate others in the coffee community. Talk about the good things, people or experiences you’ve had with the coffee community.
Reflect
Look back on your coffee journey…where did it start? What have you experienced through coffee? Highlight your challenges, but don’t forget to share the positive stories too!
Be inspiring
This brings us to our last point, inspire others. Motivate others to help and get involved in the community, sharing is caring, and who knows, an amazing barista might feel inspired after reading your story to follow their dreams!
