At just 16 years old, Kevin Arley Briceño Ramírez is brewing a brighter future for coffee farming in Colombia. In our latest 6-minute documentary, A Coffee Kid’s Dream: Meet Kevin | I’M NOT A BARISTA Short Documentary, Kevin shares his inspiring story of growing up on his family’s coffee farm in Piedecuesta, Santander. From picking cherries to launching their brand, Rama Roja Coffee, Kevin’s dedication to sustainable agriculture and quality coffee shines through.
Kevin’s journey is fueled by the Global Coffee Alliance for Good (GCAG), an initiative empowering young farmers like him through education and resources. GCAG provides tools, training, and opportunities. With support from partners like TIMEMORE, who donated over 100 items (grinders, kettles, scales) to Colombian farmers in 2025, GCAG is fostering better yields, higher quality coffee, and stronger communities.
For Kevin, GCAG opened doors to new knowledge, like the critical role of water properties in brewing, sparking his ambition to study agronomic engineering. His story reflects the heart of the coffee community: passion, precision, and a commitment to growth. By supporting young talents, GCAG ensures the coffee industry thrives for generations.
